First EU citizens using cross-border ePrescriptions

The first EU patients can use digital prescriptions issued by their home doctor when visiting a pharmacy in another EU country. Finnish citizens are now able to retrieve medicine prescribed by a doctor in Finland from a pharmacy in Estonia with ePrescriptions.
Tyto Care closes $9 million funding for telehealth service

Israeli telehealth startup Tyto Care has raised $9 million from Itochu of Japan, Sanford Health of the US, and Shenzhen Capital Group of China. 

Tyto is a handheld kit and app that enables remote, guided medical exams and diagnosis using a 'digital stethoscope'. 

The new funding comes a year after the company raised $24.5 million in a round led by Ping An Global Voyager Fund of China, and will be used for expansion in the US, Japan and China.

Venture capital funding for digital health companies grew to $9.5 billion in 2018, up 32% from $7.2 billion in 2017, according to Mercom Capital Group, a global communications and research firm.
