Liva Healthcare raises €8 million to grow business

Liva Healthcare has closed an €8 million investment round from three new investors: MIG, Santo Venture Capital and Digital Health Ventures. The investment will enable Liva Healthcare to scale up with existing clients, expand further geographically and continue its technological innovation. 

Inovia Capital raises $600m venture funds

Inovia Capital, the Canadian VC firm, has raised two new funds totalling US$600 million: an early-stage fund of $200 million; and a growth-stage of $400 million. The funds will be invested in its existing markets in Canada and Silicon Valley, as well as through a new office in London.

Vicarious Surgical raises $10m for product development

Vicarious Surgical, a company working on minimally-invasive surgery, has raised a further $10 million from Gates Frontier, Khosla Ventures, Innovation Endeavours, AME Cloud Ventures, and Marc Benioff.
DNAnexus raises $68 million to develop multiomics platform
DNAnexus, the bioinformatics company, has closed a $68 million financing round from a combination of existing investors, including GV, Foresite Capital, TPG Biotech, WuXi NextCODE and Claremont Creek Ventures, and debt and equity from Innovatus Capital Partners.

Tyto Care closes $9 million funding for telehealth service

Israeli telehealth startup Tyto Care has raised $9 million from Itochu of Japan, Sanford Health of the US, and Shenzhen Capital Group of China. 

Tyto is a handheld kit and app that enables remote, guided medical exams and diagnosis using a 'digital stethoscope'. 

The new funding comes a year after the company raised $24.5 million in a round led by Ping An Global Voyager Fund of China, and will be used for expansion in the US, Japan and China.
